Sunday May 29 3:30 PM $20 e transfer - We are emerging from Covid & The Cottage / Live music is going to live again. Tragedy Ann & Basset (the band) are playing our 1st Sunday matinee. They are from my once hometown of Guelph, ON. Tragedy Ann is a forward-looking folk duo. Braiding organic vocal harmonies with accordion, singing saw, guitars, and ukulele, Tragedy Ann’s arrangements are as delicate as they are driving. They gave us a private performance back in 2019 & I've been waiting to have them back ever since. Check out the video on our Facebook page. B A S S E T Toronto-based folk duo, Basset, are full of timeless heart. Acoustic songwriters Sam Clark and Yasmine Shelton will take you from a beekeeper’s fields to the haunted basement of a second-hand store, in a style that is all their own. Basset bring a deep love of the natural world to their gorgeously meditative and assured debut album, In The Clay 2022. Produced by Joshua Van Tassel (Sarah Slean, David Myles), the ten songs on In The Clay explore various themes of life in change, Shelton and Clark’s travels around Northern Ontario, the Canadian and American prairies, their lives in Toronto, and the characters – from all walks of life – who have crossed their paths. With comparisons to The Milk Carton Kids, Hozier, and Bon Iver, their inventiveness shines on fiddle and intricate harmonies, with Shelton and Clark’s voices wrapping around each other like twin flames in a warm fire. For these 1st early shows, masking and vaccine passports are in effect, since we are a small space. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by e-transfer at As always 100% of ticket sales go directly to the artist To find out more find us on Facebook or call 763-1036
