The Blue Danube epitomizes the symphonic richness and variety of Strauss’s dance music which earned him acclaim as the “waltz king”. Max Bruch wrote his Serenade after Swedish Melodies, a more intimate string ensemble with rich sounds and the simplicity of folk melodies. The finale is beautifully delicate. Khchaturian’s Waltz ,a whimsical theme, and has been used in several movies, Opera Planet, the Masquerade Waltz, and Best Ever Waltz.
