Tragedy Ann Noon-Hour Concert // Hope & Hops Online

May 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

HOPE & HOPS: A musical fundraising series hosted by Tragedy Ann

We’re playing our second online concert on Wednesday, May 6, and you’re invited! We’ll go live on our Facebook and Instagram pages at noon (ET) for an hour-long matinee benefitting a very important cause.

We were beyond disappointed to cancel the spring instalment of Hope & Hops, so we’ve brought it into cyber-space. 50% of all tips contributed via our Virtual Tip Jar will be donated to The SEED Community Food Project, who’s vital work to ensure food security for those in need is even more important than ever.
All are welcome to tune-in, and there’s no pressure to tip if your means don’t allow. We’re just happy to share an hour of tunes with you!

We felt downright buoyed after our first online concert, and we can’t wait to spend some more time connecting with friends near and far. Let us know if you have any requests and we will do our best to oblige!

In more stable times, we present Hope & Hops at Brothers Brewing Company in partnership with the good folks at GAIN Music, and we’re eternally grateful for their community-building work.

About The Seed:
The SEED delivers community programs and operates social enterprises that address the causes and effects of food insecurity.

About Tragedy Ann:
Tragedy Ann is a forward-looking folk duo from Guelph, Ontario.

With intimacy and care, Liv Cazzola and Braden Phelan favour a flashlight over a spotlight in songs for community, nature, and hardworking hospital staff. Braiding organic vocal harmonies with accordion, singing saw, guitars, and ukulele, Tragedy Ann’s arrangements are as delicate as they are driving.

Their sounds and stories were most recently captured on 2018’s “Matches”, garnering them two ‘Songs from the Heart’ songwriting awards (Folk Music Ontario), international critical acclaim, Canadian folk/roots radio charting, and syndication on CBC Radio and Stingray Music. Performing across Canada, continental Europe and in the USA, Tragedy Ann concerts emanate “..the honesty and enthusiasm of people who can’t help but create and perform.” (Jon Farmer, Georgian Bay Roots).
