Madison Violet at New Moon Folk Club

April 6, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm UTC-6

Madison Violet
Opening act: Erin Kay

Sold out!

Friday April 6, 2018, 7.30pm, doors 6.30pm

Madison Violet are Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac.
When you hear them, the first thing you’ll notice is that their voices blend together, symbiotically, like family.

Madison Violet are one of Canada’s best female duos, and they continue to astonish audiences and critics with their engaging performances and brilliant musicianship. They are musically versatile powerhouse songwriters, and you’ll hear a whole range of influences; pop, roots, indie, dance and Americana. Their sound has been described as ‘glazed pinewood; quite light in character and incredibly well polished’.

Opener Edmonton singer-songwriter Erin Kay just released her first full-length record Silver and Gold. A rich album, with big melodies and big heart. She hopes her music will inspire others to see what’s precious in their lives, and to reclaim their own stories, specifically women struggling with abuse. Erin is spearheading an initiative called ‘I am enough,’ which puts female identified artists on stage to share their music and stories while raising funds to support Women United.

Venue: St. Basil’s Cultural Centre, 10819 – 71 Avenue, Edmonton
$20 advance (plus service charges), $25 at the door, if available.
