Corona Blues: A Mental Health and Wellness Workshop

Toronto Blues Society presents Corona Blues: A Mental Health and Wellness Workshop on Monday, October 19 between 7pm-8:30pm! The free online event will cover a variety of strategies to help musicians, industry professionals, and music supporters to help manage their mental health during the time of COVID-19.

Led by moderator Pam Beatson (M.Ed in Counselling Psychology), the workshop will cover topics including mindfulness practices, establishing a daily wellness routine, and addictions. Musician and mental health professionals will also join the session to share their insights and tips, while also taking questions from any interested audience members.

Event will be live streamed on The Toronto Blues Society Facebook page as well as on Zoom. Watch this space for the RSVP link on Zoom.

Who is Pam Beatson?
– Over 30 years in general private practice as a therapist with specialization in trauma and addiction
– Associate Professor of Psychology at Western University teaching Addiction Behaviours (2013-2015)
– Conference Chair (2005-2010) and member of planning committee ((2000-2010) for the annual Institute on Addiction Studies, a training program for professionals in the field of addiction
-Past board member of the Great Lakes Blues Society and the Grand River Blues Society, past member of the Toronto Blues Society, current member of the Barcelona Blues Society
-produced and hosted live blues events in Stratford, Ontario under the monikers of Stew’s Blues and Mama Mojo Music (2005-2012), and helped found the local blues festival.
