One of the most celebrated bands to emerge from the Québec folk scene is kicking off this month’s offerings at the Aurora Cultural Centre outside Toronto.
A driving force in the evolution of Francophone roots music, Le Vent du Nord has performed more than 2,200 concerts across four continents and has released more than a dozen highly regarded albums, which have won both Juno and Felix awards.
Le Vent du Nord blends traditional folk, original compositions, and global influences with the rich rhythms of the Celtic diaspora.
Their high-energy performances—anchored by soaring vocals, foot-stomping fiddle, and infectious joy—are nothing short of exhilarating.
They perform at the ACC on Nov. 8, and you can get more information and tickets by clicking HERE.
The other shows at the Aurora this month are:
- Nov. 15 – Devine Brown, singing the songs of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald (matinee and evening show).
- Nov. 21 – Martha Chavez’s Age Against the Machine comedy show, featuring five stand-ups.
- Nov. 30 – Moshe Hammer with Angela Park on piano (for those who love classical music).
