MusicNL has announced its 2025 award nominees.
Leading nominee Mallory Johnson, with six nods, is among the contenders in the country category, while Quote the Raven, in second place with five, is nominated in the folk category.
Rube & Rake also appear in multiple categories, including Ron Hynes Songwriter of the Year, which is pretty sweet, considering the song “Waitin’ on your Cue” from their latest album mentions Ron Hynes in the chorus.

The awards will be presented during MusicNL Week in St. John’s from Nov. 12 to 16, alongside performances, a gala, and an industry conference.
