Producer Chris Graham steps into the spotlight again with another new single

“Tell Me When It Rains” is the soul-drenched new song from Belfountain, the fresh indie-folk-rock project fronted by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Juno Award-winning producer Chris Graham.

It’s the second single from the forthcoming album Some Hearts, an authentic, roots-inspired collection of songs that provide an earthy mix of old and new, always familiar and full of surprises.

Buoyed by its compelling melody, James Bryan’s (Philosopher Kings, Prozzak) smooth guitars, Joel Visentin’s swirling Hammond B3 organ and punchy horn charts – as well as impressive vocal performances by Chris and a gospel trio comprised of Karen Jewels, Chloe Watkinson and Quisha Wint – this classic soul ballad deftly uses the effects of global warming as a metaphor for a romance.

Some Hearts comes out June 21. For more information please visit Belfountain’s website.

When not recording his own material, Chris is an accomplished producer who produced the Juno Award-winning 2021 album Heart Parade for children’s group Splash ’N Boots (Feat. Alice Cooper, iskwe, Simon Ward).

He recorded, produced, and co-wrote the #1 selling albums Daydream and Bandshell for vocal jazz artist Tia Brazda and the song “Undone” for Indigenous artist Marcia Chum, which was nominated for several Native American Music Awards.

Chris has toured the world with a variety of acts, performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.

Previously he recorded, produced, performed with, and wrote songs for bands The Framework (Last Gang), CANVAS and FIRExFIRE.
