Celeigh Cardinal is back to her soulful roots on her new single – out today!

0

Juno-winning singer-songwriter Celeigh Cardinal first established herself on the scene as a soulful roots singer who could growl like a blues woman and belt like Aretha.

She could also sing an understated Tragically Hip cover like she did when she recorded “Ahead by a Century” for Scotiabank (we won’t hold that against her.)

More recently, she’s ventured into electronic beats with “Wrong Love” and “Party of One.”

But now, on her latest single, she’s back to a rootsier sound, performing a song written with Joey and Dave Landreth: “Light of the Moon.”

“It was written as a tribute to our musical friends, family, and idols who have passed on,” Celeigh explained.

It’s the first single from Celeigh’s forthcoming album, Boundless Possibilities, due June 21, 2024.

And for those of you in Edmonton, she’ll be performing with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra April 26 and 27.
