‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, except for the moose,

And Heather, of course, for she had much to write,

About music this year that gave her delight,

There was Stand in the Joy by William Prince,

And Allison Russell and Shawnee Kish,

And Francey, and Juurini, Zacharin and Spoon

And all of the acts who played MooseFest in June,

And then there was FMO in the fall,

The OFMAs at Aolean Hall

Festivals, concerts, the CFMAs,

Showcases of talent that went on for days,

But it wasn’t just artists that filled her with glee,

It was all of the people who make RMC

That’s

Corby

Elizabeth

Richard

and Jan

The interns from Carleton

And those who buys ads

There’s Jason

and Eric

Bev Kreller

Managers

promoters of shows

The fans who are there

Through the highs and the lows

So many more people than possibly fit,

In a poem the length of a top 40 hit,

Fact is, I’m so lucky to do what I do,

It’s the best present ever…

And I get it from you.

All my love and gratitude to you, my Roots Music Canada family, this holiday season.

Heather
