Artists: you have until Friday to submit for the Canadian Folk Music Awards

Heads up, artists!  Friday is the submission deadline for the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Canadian artists who have released recordings between May 1, 2021 and July 15, 2022 are eligible to submit.

Submission fees are once again reduced due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

All submission details and payments must be received through the CFMA website no later than 5:00 pm EDT, July 15, 2022. For more information, see

Established by Canada’s burgeoning and internationally-recognized folk music community, the CFMAs currently boast 19 categories and an Unsung Hero Award. A two stage jury process involving more than 100 jurors located across Canada representing all official provinces, territories and languages determine the official nominees and recipients in each category.

The 2023 CFMAs will take place March 30 to April 2 in Vancouver.  Visit the website to stay on top of upcoming events, announcements and awards weekend details.
