Here are the winners of the 2020 Jim Beam Indie Awards

The 21st annual Jim Beam Indie Awards were handed out Saturday to cap off Canadian Music Week.

The awards are typically dominated by pop acts and don’t, in fact, have categories for folk, roots or global music.

BUT this year’s winners list is dominated by trailblazing black and Indigenous artists, like Haviah Mighty, the Halluci Nation, DJ Shub and Snotty Nose Rez Kids.
