Allison Brown is looking for your new and classic holiday numbers

Every year at Christmas, I make the annual trek up to my snow-covered cabin in the woods in a secret location in northern Ontario to broadcast my “Fireside” Christmas Radio hour beside the crackling fire.  I’m already chopping firewood and perfecting my special hot chocolate recipe and starting my search for new Christmas, winter and holiday songs to add to the two-hour show – this year featuring all-Canadian music!

If you have a new holiday single or album coming out this year, get in touch at allison@allisonbrown.ca before Dec. 12.

The show will be mainly roots/folk but will also include some jazz, rock n’ roll, country and bluegrass.  Artists in all genres are welcome to send a track my way.  I’m also searching for older recordings from early Canadian country, folk, jazz and rock artists that fit a Christmas/winter theme. If any classic Canadian music enthusiasts out there have any tips on where to find older recordings, please get in touch!

The elves down at CJAM 99.1fm in Windsor/Detroit will be helping me bring this show from the snow-covered cabin to the airwaves, where it will be broadcast the week of Christmas.  It will also air on Radio Western in London and Midtown Radio in Kitchener through the holidays.  If any other stations have interest in airing the “Fireside” Christmas Radio Hour this season, please reach out!

You can find out more about the “Fireside” Christmas Radio Hour on Facebook at:

Looking forward to hearing your new and old Christmas and winter music as I prepare for my trip up north to the cabin!
