Canadian Folk Music Awards submission deadline extended

The Canadian Folk Music Awards have extended their submission deadline to July 15 at 5 p.m. ET.
The previous deadline was tomorrow.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances the global pandemic has created for our community, the CFMAs have decided to extend the submissions deadline,” the board wrote in a news release. “We understand many who may be eligible to submit are working hard to make a living and hope an extra two weeks will allow them to have a little more breathing room in preparing their submissions.”
Artists can submit and learn more at folkawards.ca.
The 2022 CFMAs will take place the weekend of April 1-3, 2022, in Charlottetown, PEI.
Once again, the CFMAs are pleased to announce that submission fees are reduced by $10-$15 per category over pre-pandemic amounts.
The CFMAs are also pleased to announce that submissions of an album are now eligible in more than one songwriting category provided they meet the category requirements.
Also, the World Album of the Year category has been renamed Global Roots Album of the Year.
Canadian artists who have released recordings between May 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 are eligible to submit to the CFMAs for 2022. Complete eligibility requirements are listed here: https://folkawards.ca/
