The Andy Frank Show: On the heels of the 2013 Juno nominees announcement, we are thrilled to feature a finalist from last year’s Best Roots and Traditional – Group category, The Good Lovelies. They have a new live CD, Live at Revolution, and they will spin most of that record and look back on their remarkable six-year run, which of course included a Juno win in 2010 (see the video below). In the first hour, you’ll hear music by Amy Campbell, Mary Jane Lamond & Wendy MacIasac, Ian Sherwood, Orit Shimoni, Michael Jerome Browne, Peter Katz, Dala, Ivy Mairi, Brooke Wylie and Linda McRae. 9:00 am, 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm EST on rtds.

The Open Chord: Bill Garrett features music from one of today’s top songwriters, Sylvia Tyson. From her days with Ian Tyson to her current work with Quartette, Sylvia continues to write compelling and original music that helps set the standard to which others aspire. Also on this week’s program some great blues from the late Philadelphia Jerry Ricks, some rocking swing from Jeff Healey and the fanciful Americana musings of Doug McArthur. 11:00 am, 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm EST.

How to listen: Go to rtds.ca and find the Listen to RTDS box (top left). Select the stream quality you wish to use (192 kb or 128 kb). A player will pop up.
