On Saturday, October 8, our Blog Editor, Meghan Sheffield married our Editor-in-Chief, David Newland, a.k.a. yours truly, with many members of our community in attendance.

Our wedding was a miniature folk festival: woodsy setting, parade, square dance, home-cooked food, hand-made decorations, camping & a campfire.

We can’t begin to express the joy we felt, surrounded by our friends and family, uplifted with music, poetry, craft and kindness.

Thanks to all in this community who have taken part, given of themselves, or simply wished us well.

We understand that to whom much is given, of them much will be required. Suffice to say, we won’t forget.

We’ll see many of you at the 25th Anniversary OCFF conference this weekend.

For now, we’re on our honeymoon. And trying to stay offline!

Congratulations, guys! What a lovely surprise – didn’t even know this day was coming. And perfect weather to be outdoors! Again, a hearty congrats!
