“Just Us Folk” celebrates 30 years on air

Perhaps no one exemplifies dedication to music the way folk DJs do.

Those few selfless souls who still spin folk, roots, Celtic, Maritime, bluegrass, blues, and singer-songwriter tracks deserve all of our thanks.

This is a special month for one of our favourite folk DJs. Jan Vanderhorst of Just Us Folk on AM 1380, CKPC Brantford is celebrating an incredible THIRTY YEARS on air this September.

In honour of that amazing achievement, we’re pleased to share these excerpts from interviews Jan has conducted with some of the scene’s leading lights.

Stan Rogers, 1982: Starting to write songs
