Live at noon EST today, we proudly webcast live music and conversation with the ever-delightful Good Lovelies, reigning Juno champs in the Roots Music – Group category.
The show, featuring hosts David Newland and Andy Frank, ran about 25 minutes – and was picked up by loyal Roots Music Canada viewers across the country, and as far away as the UK.
The conversation was lively, the tunes were great, and the ladies were in fine form. Unfortunately the stream may have gone offline toward the end, due to issues beyond our control, but… we still think it was a success. Hey, we’re learning as we go here.
Will it be podcast? Maybe – still working on that. Will it be repeated? Maybe – still working on that. We’re woodshedding the show as we go along, you know? It’s what we do.
Meanwhile watch our Facebook page for photos from the Good Lovelies show and for announcements about more Woodshed Sessions, coming soon to a computer near you.

Nice job guys.
Caught the end….looked really great…! Congrats!….and The Good Lovelies…ahhhhhh
So great guys, you should be super proud!
Pretty Please podcast it. An interview with the Good Lovelies is too good not to share farther.
Another vote for a podcast… not only am I foreigner from down below, I am also on the leftest coast so its hard to catch the first broadcast. Really appreciate your showcase of such rich Canadian music and a heck-of-a-fine shed!
Thanks for the feedback. We’re crossing some T’s here, but there will surely be some material from the show on the web in the next few days, and we’ll pass it along as soon as we know what and exactly when. Let me just say the session was gorgeous, the new songs killers, and the ladies beyond charming. For a first time venture, it went about as well as could be expected, and has really put wind in our broadcasting sails. Much more to come.
Loved it Andy. Thanks for that. Hoping for a podcast!
Hi! I’m from Argentina and recently I’ve discovered The Good Lovelies… ¡Woow they are amazing musicians! I’ve searched the RootsMusicCanada Youtube Channel, hoping to find this interview but I couldn’t… Where can I find it? Thank you!
