My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding

What happens when a relatively-unknown Saskatchewanite singer-songwriter writes an autobiographical song featuring his two moms, same-sex marriage, and Wicca? Well in David Hein’s case, he suddenly becomes one of the leading players on the Toronto theatre scene with the smash hit play, My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding.

More original David Hein videos, including two full music performances, at our Facebook page, viewable by all, but please become a fan, it’s free !

Prior to his current success, David Hein’s path took him from Saskatchewan to Toronto (York University) and New York, where, among other things, he apprenticed in a Muppet Music studio. He performed at many Canadian festivals, house concerts, and flopped on many a warm sofa. In this video, David talks about one of the influential Canadians who helped him along the way.

And, as of April 11, after having (re-) introduced some 50,000 Mirvish-theatre-patrons to the joys of original Canadian roots music, he finds himself back on the circuit. His will be a fun story to follow!
